Biography

Chantal Archambault is a singer-songwriter who uses intimate texts and imagary on a folk platform with a slight country feel. In 2008, she self-produced " Le Collage ", a demo that allowed her to participate in Les Francouvertes and meet Dany Placard, who helped produce her first album, "La romance des couteaux", released in late 2010.

Chantal won several prizes and awards in 2011, including nominations at the ADISQ and GAMIQ awards. Chantal received the status of ambassador to the region of Abitibi-Témiscamingue. She was invited to be the opening act for over 20 Vincent Vallières shows in her home province of Quebec, showcased at La Bourse Rideau, as well as participation on the TV show Belle et Bum, and the Francofolies.

Finally, Chantal’s song " La Barque” was covered by Renée Martel on her most recent album. Chantal returned to Montreal in 2012, to record her sophomore album, " Les Élans ", released in February 2013.
