The mellow vibes continue with Adrian Underhill, whose winsome debut full-length CU Again (out February 9) sits somewhere between pop, funk and R&B. Immaculately produced by Kindness (aka Adam Bainbridge), the album coasts on the same lite airwaves as Peter Gabriel and Ned Doheny. The overall effect is less about instantly gratifying hooks than deeply felt tones and sounds. His stacked list of session players includes Keith Eaddy on bass, Dâm-Funk on drums and Brandon Coleman, whose keys radiate sunny California goodness.
